Notre-Dame de Calais
The stained-glass windows by Gerard Lardeur (1931-2002)
The previous stained glass windows were destroyed in 1915 by a Zeppelin.
Dating from 1976, the new windows by the famous glassmaker and sculptor Gerard
Lardeur represent man through the symbol of the circle.
The circle combines the idea of both the material part and the intellectual part
of man. The line represents the mind and the body.
